I read this wonderful post by a friend of mine today (http://jentrified.wordpress.com/2012/01/21/carpe-diem-or-not/). She says, "Each moment is an opportunity, not to be blissed out or to deny challenges, but to choose LOVE, and to learn that LOVE is the ultimate goal–the way to get an A+ in the school of life." By this definition, Ben has already earned an A+. Ben gives me pure, unadulterated love - every day, no, every minute - of his precious life.
I've been struggling so much lately to find my purpose in life. I know, deep in my heart, that there is a purpose, but I have not been able to feel it or verbalize it. If Jen is right, and choosing LOVE is our purpose, then the mechanics of what I do every day don't matter as much as the intention with which I do them. Maybe my brain needs to take a break and let my heart lead.
